Working and living with recycling
and eco-friendly products often brings with it some surprises and it never
ceases to amaze me the resourcefulness of some people when it comes to
reclaiming recycled material for manufacture of new products.
We have got so used to many of our
household items being manufactured from that twentieth century ‘miracle
material’ plastic, that we often don’t realise how much of this
non-biodegradable material is still around. And now many of us are trying to
move away from plastics, the alternatives are coming from some wonderful
We are used to seeing recycled
plastics and paper, and its no wonder as there is such an abundance of it. But
there is an abundance of other materials too and making use of those is proving
a great challenge.
Car tyres have for decades been an
environmental problem. Many tyres are remoulded but there is a limit to how
many remoulded tyres people will buy and as a consequence there is a huge glut
of tyres up and down the country.
There are many eco-friendly
manufacturers that are attempting to make use of this unwanted rubber with some
interesting an innovative results, the hardback notebook made from recycled car
tyres is my particular favourite.
Other items that are environmental
hazards are also being used in the manufacture of some fantastic products.
Those little plastic cups that contain awful tasting coffee from machines, may
be useful for a quick cuppa at work or in a public building but they don’t
biodegrade and accumulate in landfills all over the globe.
A clock made from recycled plastic
cups is a great example of what can be done with these little plastic cups.
‘Making good Use of The Things That We Find’, may have been the motto of the
Wombles but …
men are expected to wear a watch to complete an outfit, the modern woman often
goes without. One is tempted to conclude that the watch as an accessory is
antiquated. However, there are compelling reasons why more women should spot
these days of smart devices that can tell the time, it may seem as if the watch
is not needed. Nevertheless, fetching your phone from your bag to check the
time does not cut a professional image. There are certain situations where
doing that would be considered inappropriate.
are some of the reasons why women should consider wearing watches.
watch can be a great accessory to complement a great outfit. Your choice of
watch also helps you to manifest your unique style. You can opt for one watch
that that goes with almost every outfit or several watches to match different
you can buy a watch that comes with different coloured straps to match with
your different looks. Watches come in a wide range of styles and sizes. You
will always find one that suits you.
A Watch is Convenient
watch is right there on your wrist. It is easier and faster to turn your wrist
and glance at the time. Rummaging through your bag for your phone takes so much
time. Moreover, it is not a good look when in a formal situation.
can also check your watch discreetly when you need to leave a testy situation.
In fact, this used to be the go-to tactic with most people. Checking your phone
may be considered rude.
It Helps You to Disconnect
Smartphone is possibly the biggest competition for the watch. Why would you
need a watch when you can simply glance at your watch?
Recycling has become all the rage
these days. Some people like to venture into recycle as a means of making their
home a little more “green.” Others may do so as a means of saving
money. Others just do it for really no reason other than they know it is the
right thing to do. The key here is that recycled products have a great many
benefits associated with them. For those wondering what type of recycled
products would greatly benefit one’s home, here is a look at the top five
recycled products any and all homes would benefit from:
Glassware: Okay, some people might
think about the idea of buying plates and dishes made from recycled materials
to be a little minimalist. But, look like this: You have to buy these items for
the house at some point. Why not buy things that have been recycled properly.
Why contribute to the depletion of natural resources by buying products that
have not been recycled – including plates and plates!
Glass products: Glass is usually
recycled and that is why products made from recycled glass appear in people’s
homes with more frequency. Why not add recycled drinking glasses and bottles to
your collection of recycled plates and dishes? And, in this case, when you have
a new window installed at home, why not insist that the window is made from
Paper Products: Do you work
outside the home or need to use your computer to make many prints and / or
copies? If so, it would be better to look towards purchasing recycled paper.
Waste paper is often considered one of the biggest abuses of products that can
be effectively recycled. Therefore, it is highly recommended to buy recycled
paper when you need to replace paper in your home …
